Stonemountain & Daughter Fabrics

Marketing & Communications

At Stonemountain & Daughter Fabrics I led many aspects of the business, including the marketing and communications via social, web, and email. Through only organic outreach, I grew our audience from a few thousand to over 60,000 followers and subscribers. And during the pandemic when the store was closed to in-person shopping for two years, this digital connection to our customers and community was essential to keeping the business running. During this time I consistently generated a 4% engagement rate on our Instagram channels as the sole content creator and community manager.

Below is a selection of newsletters, blog posts, and social media posts that I authored and created visual content for. Included are a few selections from our “Share the Love” program, which was started in response to the social justice movements of Summer 2020. Stonemountain donated 15% of profits to a rotating selection of local nonprofit organizations, focusing on those that served BIPOC communities. Our first event supported The Transgender District, which works to stabilize and uplift a historically marginalized neighborhood in San Francisco. It was a wonderful experience to develop this campaign, designing content and promoting it to our audience. We were able to raise tens of thousands of dollars for our community, as well as educate our wide-reaching audience on the work of these important organizations.
